当被问及与亚当斯搭档或对抗的感觉，惠特摩尔说道：“与亚当斯搭档时，你可以利用他的掩护，外弹或者切入内线等等。我曾经有一次抢篮板时想挡住他，但毫无办法，我根本推不动他。他在防守和进攻端都很强势。”
